Route 31 and Fox River Trail intersection in Algonquin.

December is almost over. Which means the year is almost over, of course. And I still need another 5.5 miles to reach 1500 miles for the year. Guess I have my work cut out for me over the next few days. Heheh. One more workout on the bike rollers and I have got it.
Meanwhile, here's another random picture from biking this year:

These pictures are from the intersection of the Fox River Trail and Route 31 in Algonquin, Illinois. They have been working on this area constructing a bypass of downtown for a while now. Most of the trail in the next two miles North of here has been riddled with barricades and obstacles for most of the 2013 riding season. Everything across the street that you can see is gone and paved over now. Am wondering how they will have the bike trail cross this widened mess they have put in. A bike/pedestrian bridge like they did at Rakow Rd. in LITH/Crystal Lake? Or maybe be a tunnel? Either would be acceptable. But I bet it will be neither. And they will wait for some kind of accident or fatality before the authorities plan for such a thing.
